FAQs & Background Information in Detail

  • How many people are participating per meeting and on average?

Although our tables have been existing quite a long time meanwhile, it's absolutely impossible to fix or predict a general average of participants per meet-up and language.

The attendance sometimes depends on the season, holidays, etc. I don't always know the reasons, but the margin is large and the average number of participants per meeting and language varies between 10 to 20 persons.

We have also had meet-ups where we have just been a very "cosy" group of just six persons, and others where we have been more than 20 people. It's just not predictable.

  • Is there any regular cycle/rotation of the tables' dates?

Usually our meet-ups take place on Thursdays. And in order to simplify things, we indeed strive for a regular cycle, but can - for several reasons -  offen not be kept to.

Finally nothing is carved in stone and in the end every meeting is subject to the agenda of at least one of our native speakers participating (I'll usually check that before sending the invitations).

  • How to get informed, when and where the tables take place?

As soon as you will have registered via either our Yahoo or Facebook Group, the invitations, which I usually send out approx. five days prior to the corresponding meeting, will be automatically distributed via that Groups' system.

The corresponding next "Round Table's" date is usually published within our HOMEPAGE. But attention: The dates of our meet-ups can be changed or postponed at any time and at short notice.

  • Always WANTED: Native Speakers!

We perpetually need more native speakers and people who are very familiar with a language in order to keep this "Five-Languages-Project" alive.
As we do live in Germany, of course there is not and will never be any lack of German native speakers!

But we are permanently looking for more native speakers of the remaining four languages: English, French, Spanish and Italian to join us as full member.

Because this project will only succeed in the long run, if and when there are sufficient native speakers of each of the five languages participating.

  • Latest News regarding our English meet-ups:

Due to the lack of English native speakers, our English tables will only take place sporadically at present.
